Joe ordered a large cheese pepperoni for $23.49. It came tavern cut, looking a little stingy on the cup and char. The cut needed help, and Joe ended up with two slices.
First bite
A crunchy first bite from the outer crust, and it tasted delicious, even if the cut was subpar.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: The best part. A little thin, crunchy on the outside with a little chew.
- Sauce: A little pasty and thick, like tomato paste, with more punch. Joe could catch the oregano and herbs. If you like a punchy sauce, it'll work.
- Cheese: Good, but not as stringy as other places. Joe called it more Canadian style and guessed it has less milk fat.
- Pepperoni: Cup and char that's nicely cupped and charred.
What would make it better
A different sauce, and maybe a different cheese, even though this one is still good.
