Wise Guys Pizza is on Seneca Street in Buffalo. A viewer recommended it, and it was Joe's return to Buffalo pizza after his Niagara Falls run.
The order
Joe ordered a large cheese pepperoni for $24.74. It came in a cool box with a gangster on the front, and it was heavy. One of the guys inside opened it up so Joe could get a look at it. The cut needed a little help.
First bite
Cheesy and saucy. Joe said it right away: we're back in Buffalo.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: Not super thick, but on the thicker side. Nice browning underneath, without much crisp on the back.
- Sauce: Some herbs and oregano, and a little sweeter than some places, but not too sweet.
- Cheese: Joe loves the cheese here, and they're not shy with it.
- Pepperoni: Plenty of cup and char. They weren't scared on the distribution.
What would make it better
Maybe just a touch more cook.
The verdict
