The order
Joe ordered online for $16.80 and wasn't able to tip. It looked like a 14 or 16-inch large cheese pepperoni, with lay flat pepperoni. When he got there it was sitting in a warming tray, and he could just grab it and go. The cut was a little rough right out of the gate.
First bite
Medium light browning, with a checkered pattern underneath that looked like it was done on a screen. The sauce was the first thing Joe noticed, and it did not do it for him.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: Medium thickness with a softish texture, though Joe could barely taste it.
- Sauce: A weird flavor. It almost reminded Joe of pizza sauce in Cuba. He said it's hurting the pizza.
- Cheese: Better than the pepperoni.
- Pepperoni: Mediocre.
What would make it better
Just changing the sauce would improve it a lot.
The verdict
If Joe was walking through the store and had to eat, it's okay, but that sauce really kills it. He gave it a 5.3.
