VinLouie's Pizzeria is on Lake Shore Road in Hamburg. Joe came with special guest Jimmy Scott Jr, a food creator known for eating some of the wildest foods online. It was their first time meeting in real life.
The order
They kept it simple with a large cheese pepperoni for $24.47. It looked cheesy, thick and sloppy, just the way Joe likes it.
First bite
Super cheesy and saucy. Joe liked it right away, and so did Jimmy.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: It gets a little thicker toward the outside, and the outer crust has a nice little crunch.
- Sauce: They're not scared on the ratio of sauce. It has some sweetness. Jimmy loves sweet, but both agreed it was a little on the sweet side.
- Cheese: Super cheesy.
- Pepperoni: On point, with a nice crisp.
The verdict
It was the first thing Jimmy had eaten all day, and he went with an 8.9. Joe went a little lower at 8.4. He did like the pizza, and said it's just a little much on the sweet side, but he could still handle a bunch of slices.
