The order
Joe ordered a large 16-inch cheese pepperoni for $23 flat. It had some weight to it, with cup and char pepperoni and grease sitting in the cups. The distribution was a little off, with a couple of double-ups.
First bite
It was so hot out of the oven that the cheese slid right off, and Joe had to deconstruct the slice to eat it. He apologized to Vincenzo's for eating it so hot, and said there would be no deductions for that.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: A little thicker, with a nice seasoning and nice flavor. Joe would like the back a little crunchier.
- Sauce: Tasty.
- Cheese: Everywhere, and fantastic. Seasoned and salty.
- Pepperoni: Nice and porky, with some seasoning.
What would make it better
A crunchier back crust, and a crust that's not quite as thick.
The verdict
It's a beautiful, solid pizza. Joe gave Vincenzo's an 8.2 and planned to let it cool and try another slice.
