Tallarico's Pizzeria is on Lockport Road in Wheatfield.
The order
Joe ordered a large 16-inch pizza for $25.10. The cheese had some oranging and grease, with healthy cup and char and some sauce going over the edge. The cut was money.
First bite
Perfect medium browning underneath and nice ratios of sauce to cheese to crust. But it was almost a little dry on the bottom.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: Cooked really nicely with a good crunch, but a little dry.
- Sauce: A little flat. Maybe missing some spices, seasoning or salt. More of a plain Jane.
- Cheese: Joe liked the orange look, but it didn't have the same gooeyness as other pizzas he's had in the US.
- Pepperoni: Nice cup and char.
What would make it better
A different crust and different cheese, and a little seasoning in the sauce.
The verdict
Not a bad pizza, an all right one. Joe gave Tallarico's a 6.8 and said with a little work it could be a lot better.
