The order
Joe ordered a large 16-inch cheese pepperoni for $17.05. They are not shy with the pepperoni here. There's some overlap and a big bubble that Joe went straight for. The cut was perfection.
First bite
It's nice and thin with some cornmeal underneath. Joe said right away they had a contender.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: Thin all the way through and crunchy on the back. That crunch was phenomenal.
- Sauce: Clean. Joe likes it when the sauce isn't drowning in herbs and spices.
- Cheese: The good American cheese.
- Pepperoni: Lots of salty cup and char, a little on the heavy side, but Joe liked it.
The verdict
It's a nice greasy wheel, and Joe named Sammy's his new favorite in Niagara Falls. He gave it an 8.9 and could see why they've been around so long.
