LocationBuffalo, NY
Joe visited Ricotta's Pizza Niagara on Niagara Street in Buffalo in the middle of a snow and hail storm. He says he brought the Canadian weather with him.
The order
Joe ordered a large 16-inch cheese pepperoni for $22.84. It came with cup and char pepperoni and big slices with a clean cut.
First bite
It's a little on the thick side, saucy and cheesy, with a nice bubbly crust. The man inside worried it wasn't cooked enough for Joe, but Joe liked the cook.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: Bubbly in the middle and crisp on the back. The back crust is money.
- Sauce: A little thick, with good flavor that doesn't overpower. You can taste some oregano.
- Distribution: Money.
- Pepperoni: Cup and char. The staff even knew Joe prefers a spicier brand.
The verdict
Ricotta's is a good pizza right in the middle of the range. Joe gave it an 8.5. These Buffalonians know what they're doing.
