Picasso's Pizza Review – Blasdell, NY
score
Picasso's is one of Joe's favorite pizzas in Buffalo. He came to the McKinley Parkway location in Blasdell because a viewer recommended it on review.pizza. He has tried two other Picasso's locations, including one with his buddy Mike Dudek, and both scored over 9.
The order
Joe ordered a large tray pizza for $32.67. It looked like the cup and char was hand cut. All four corners were light on pepperoni, so he skipped the corner slice. It needed help on the cut, and Joe had watched them cut it hot out of the oven.
First bite
Nice medium browning underneath, solid and saucy. Joe could taste the tomato flavor even more than he remembered from before.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: Medium thickness. Good flavor.
- Sauce: A touch of sweet with real tomato flavor.
- Cheese: Great.
- Pepperoni: Hand cut, which Joe called a nice touch.
- Seasoning: The magic dust Joe loves at Picasso's wasn't as strong on this one.
What would make it better
Sauce and cheese to the edge like the other locations, a better cut and maybe a little more cook. Joe figured they were probably busy and this one was made a little quick.
The verdict
It definitely tastes Picasso style, but not quite the same caliber as the other locations Joe has tried. The flavors are good and he gave it an 8.2.
