Pesci's Pizza & Wings Review – Buffalo, NY
score
Pesci's Pizza & Wings is on Main Street. Joe gave them extra credit for the sign in Buffalo Bills colors.
The order
Joe ordered a large cheese pepperoni for $26.30. It came with cup and char pepperoni, sauce close to the edge and the cheese almost all the way there.
First bite
Underneath was a nice medium to dark browning. The back crust had a great crunch, and Joe could taste the oregano sprinkled on top.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: A little thicker than some of the thin pies Joe had lately, but it makes up for it with a nice cook. For a medium thickness, he called it a good one.
- Cheese: "This Buffalo cheese is so good."
- Pepperoni: Cooked nicely with good flavor.
- Distribution: Nice all around.
What would make it better
Joe had just learned about frico, cheese and sauce cooked over the edge, in his previous review. If this pie had that, he said it would have gone into the nines.
The verdict
Pesci's makes a really good pizza. It's cooked super and Joe called it solid three times over. He gave it an 8.9.
