Pappaceno's Pizza Review – Orchard Park, NY
score
Pappaceno's Pizza is on North Buffalo Street in Orchard Park, just outside of Buffalo. Joe came because a viewer recommended it on review.pizza.
The order
Joe ordered a large 17-inch pizza for $25.80. It came with cup and char pepperoni and some herbs visible on top, and it looked like it was on the thicker side.
First bite
Joe lost a bunch of cheese on the first pull, so the first bite missed most of it, but the slice still tasted good. He went right back for the cheese and pepperoni that fell off, and that was fantastic. He also noticed a couple of people watching him the whole time.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: Not quite a thick crust, but on the high side of medium. The back crunch is good, and Joe called the crust a nice one. Medium to light browning underneath.
- Sauce: Mellow, with some herbs and a little touch of sweet. Not overpowering.
- Cheese: Fantastic. Joe loves the cheese in the Buffalo area.
- Pepperoni: Cup and char. His slice could have used a couple extra.
What would make it better
For Joe, maybe just a touch thinner and a touch more cook. If you like a thicker pie, he says that's great for you.
The verdict
This is a solid pizza. Joe gave it an 8.4, and he figures that for people who like a thicker crust, it could be close to a nine.
