Palumbo's Pizzeria is on Sheridan Drive in Tonawanda. It was the first time Joe had a conveyor oven pizza on this side of the border.
The order
Joe ordered a large cheese pepperoni for $16.85. It wasn't shy on the pepperoni, though the cheese didn't quite reach the outer edge.
First bite
It was hot and sloppy. Joe lost a lot of cheese on the first pull and had to fold it into a pizza taco, but the flavors were good.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: On the thin side and lightly browned. It could use more cook, but it wasn't badly cooked. Good flavor and seasoning.
- Sauce: Right in the middle between a pasty sauce and a mellow tomato sauce.
- Cheese: Fantastic.
- Pepperoni: A thick cut with good flavor.
What would make it better
More cook.
The verdict
Joe said this is much better than a conveyor pizza back in Hamilton or Canada, and probably the best conveyor belt pizza he's had. With the value at $16.85, he gave it bang on an 8.0.
