Osteria 166 Review – Buffalo, NY
score
Osteria 166 is at the corner of Franklin Street and Mohawk Street in Buffalo. Inside it looked fancy and classy, it smelled great, and a lot of people were eating pasta.
The order
Joe ordered a large cheese pepperoni, but it looked like one size fits all. It cost $19.58 and came as a six slicer with wavy pepperoni, not cup and char. The cut was perfect.
First bite
Lightly cooked underneath. Joe had thought it might be a wood fired pizza based on the look of the place.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: Medium, and decent. Joe wasn't sure if it was made in house.
- Sauce: Definitely a little light.
- Cheese: Good stuff, and the best part.
- Pepperoni: Not Joe's favorite and not his style.
What would make it better
Change the pepperoni and add more sauce.
The verdict
Joe was expecting something more from a place that looked this nice. He'd still like to come back and try the food inside, but this pizza got a 5.9.
