The order
Joe ordered a large 16-inch cheese pepperoni, done in a deck oven, for $27.80. Cup and char was happening, and the crust looked a little on the thicker side.
First bite
Joe lost some cheese on the first pull, but the sauce was delightful, and the crunch on the back side was exactly what he was talking about.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: Medium to thick with nice medium browning. Really good, and cooked really nicely. Joe would bet they make the dough there.
- Sauce: Nice herb flavor that isn't too pungent.
- Pepperoni: Good pepperoni.
What would make it better
Spicy pepperoni. Joe said this pizza with spicy pepperoni would knock it out of the park.
The verdict
Joe said the folks in Hamburg know what they're doing, with both the crust and the dough. He gave Nino's an 8.9.
