Niagara Deli & Pizzeria is on Niagara Street in Buffalo. It came recommended through review.pizza, and it was Joe's first Buffalo pie after a long stretch reviewing in Las Vegas.
The order
Joe ordered a large cheese pepperoni for $21.74. It came tavern cut with cup and char pepperoni, and it looked cooked nicely from the start.
First bite
One bite and Joe was home. "We're back in Buffalo, baby." He found good cheese in Vegas, but nothing like this.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: On the thinner side with nice light browning underneath.
- Sauce: A good amount of it with nice distribution. A little on the sweet side, but tasting good.
- Cheese: The cheese was "definitely singing my name."
- Pepperoni: Cup and char. Joe didn't want to lose a single one.
What would make it better
A touch more cook, and maybe a spicy cup and char pepperoni.
The verdict
Joe admits missing Buffalo might have helped, but this was a great welcome back. Niagara Deli & Pizzeria gets a beautiful 8.8.
