The order
Joe ordered a large 16-inch cheese pepperoni for $21.32. It came littered with cup and char pepperoni, with a sprinkle of dried oregano on top.
First bite
The first bite was a pepperoni avalanche, with cheese flapping everywhere. The crust is thin in the middle and thicker at the edge.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: The outer crust is cooked well and was Joe's favorite part. The middle could use more cook.
- Sauce: Mellow and calm. Not too sweet and not pasty.
- Cheese: Tons of it.
- Pepperoni: Lots of cup and char.
What would make it better
More cook time, better distribution through the center, maybe a slightly thicker middle, and a spicier cup and char pepperoni.
The verdict
Mineo's is very flavorful and comes together well. Joe gave it an 8.2.
