The order
Joe ordered a large cheese pepperoni for $22.57. It looked like a 16-inch, with a good amount of cup and char, toppings close to the edge and a thin outer crust.
First bite
A mouthful of cheese, a mouthful of sauce and a mouthful of pepperoni. Light browning underneath.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: Thin in the middle and thicker on the outside, pretty typical Buffalo pizza. The back bite has a good crunch, but the inner bites are better.
- Sauce: Good, with lots of it in the middle.
- Distribution: Joe liked how the toppings are spread on the thinner inside of the pie.
What would make it better
If the goodness continued all the way to the outside, this would get into the eights.
The verdict
The inner part of the pizza is where the magic happens, and these ingredients ring true to Buffalo. It's still a great pizza, just shy of the eights. Joe gave it a 7.9.
