Mark's Pizzeria Review – Lockport, NY
score
Mark's Pizzeria is on South Transit Street in Lockport. A viewer recommended it on review.pizza. Like a few places in Lockport, they ask which sauce you want when you order.
The order
Joe ordered a large 16-inch cheese pepperoni for $23.75. On the phone they asked if he wanted the OG sauce or the sweet. He asked what he should get, and they said most people like the sweet, so that's what he got. It came out looking much different from other pizzas, like hot lava.
First bite
Joe called it freaking delicious. He loved the orange, gooey look of it, and it was super hot. The underside had light browning.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: Medium thickness, a little thicker at the back, with no crunch there. The crust is good, but it's what kept the score from going higher.
- Sauce: Sweet. For a long time Joe was not about sweet sauce, but he said it can work.
- Cheese: Along with the sauce, the shining star.
- Pepperoni: Good flavor, though it reads sweet with the sauce.
- Grease: Amazing. Joe loved how greasy it was, even if his arteries probably did not.
The verdict
Joe called it a good solid greasy wheel that you can't go wrong with. If he had a hangover, this is what he'd be craving. He gave it an 8.2.
