Lovejoy Pizzeria has two locations, and Joe visited the one on Main Street in Buffalo with a local Buffalo food creator who picked the spot as a true Buffalo staple.
The order
They ordered a large cheese pepperoni for $21.70 with tax. It came loaded with cup and char holding little pools of grease, and it was hot out of the oven.
First bite
Super, super cheesy. It's almost like double cheese, and the back crust was so crunchy you could hear it.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Ratios: They aren't scared of the cheese and they aren't scared of the sauce. Joe liked the balance.
- Cheese: "This cheese we don't get in Canada." Delicious.
- Value: For $21.70 you could feed four friends about two slices each.
