La Hacienda Ristorante and Pizzeria is on Pine Avenue in Niagara Falls, New York. Joe didn't even know the city had a Little Italy. It's a super popular spot.
The order
Joe ordered a large cheese pepperoni for $21.60. It's a 14-inch pie, smaller than the 16-inch larges he'd been getting lately. It came in the most unique box he'd seen so far, an upgraded cardboard that's almost waxy. The cut was a little funky.
First bite
It's a thin crust with cornmeal underneath. Joe let this one cool down a bit first, and it tasted real good.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: Joe really liked it. Super thin, cooked well even with the cornmeal, with a little char underneath.
- Sauce: Nice, and great with the cheese.
- Pepperoni: Cup and char, but a different brand than the other spots. It tasted almost like bacon. Good, just distributed a little unevenly.
What would make it better
With his favorite spicy cup and char pepperoni, Joe said this one could have gone into the nines.
The verdict
La Hacienda makes a super thin, good pizza with nice flavors. Joe gave it an 8.7 and really liked what they've got going on.
