Kith & Kin Bakeshop Review – Lockport, NY
score
Kith & Kin Bakeshop is on Transit Road in Lockport, in the Buffalo area. It's a bakeshop, so this isn't a typical Buffalo style pizza.
The order
Joe ordered a large, but it came as a 9-inch, which must be the one size. It cost $14.31. When he ordered, the staff asked if he wanted red sauce and mozzarella, which Joe called good order taking. The cut needed a lot of help, and Joe mangled his first slice getting it out.
First bite
The first thing Joe tasted was the cheese, and it was much better than the cut. Underneath was light browning.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: Thin, but with a little bit of a gum line. A little crunch on the back side. It's more unusual than most crusts Joe has had, but he liked it.
- Sauce: Nice, but really mellow next to the cheese, the pepperoni and even the crust.
- Cheese: Fantastic.
- Pepperoni: Mellow and salty with good flavor. Joe guessed it's pork.
What would make it better
A better cut. The pizza would have been an 8.0 without it.
The verdict
It started off rocky with that cut, but Joe called it a good solid pizza and said he could probably eat six of these. He gave it a 7.9.
