KFC Chizza Review – Buffalo, NY
score
This one is a wild card. Joe teamed up with Jimmy Scott Jr, who eats some wild foods online, to try the Chizza at the Kentucky Fried Chicken on Abbott Road in Buffalo. Instead of a crust, it's built on a big piece of fried chicken.
The order
The Chizza cost $10.80. When they opened it up, the cheese didn't even look like it had melted.
First bite
It still had some crunch. The chicken was not too shabby. Joe hadn't had KFC in a while.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Chicken: The shining star, for both of them.
- Sauce: Not Joe's favorite, but it does the trick.
- Cheese: Needs to be melted. Both agreed it would be better if it was.
- Pepperoni: Okay. It needed to be cooked a little more.
- Toppings: Not the high quality you get at a Buffalo pizzeria. Joe called it big chain toppings and fast food pizza.
What would make it better
Melt the cheese. Jimmy suggested that next time they put mac and cheese and potatoes and gravy on it.
The verdict
Jimmy, in his hometown, was generous with a 7.2. Joe gave it a pass at 5.6, said he'd rather just have a piece of their chicken, and still finished it no problem.
