The order
Joe ordered a large 16-inch cheese pepperoni for $25.21. It came with a smaller style of cup and char pepperoni.
First bite
Saucy and cheesy, with light to medium browning. The sauce is on the sweeter side. Joe noted some people aren't into sweet sauce, but it was working here.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: Medium thickness and cooked really nicely underneath. Joe tasted a little grease flavor, maybe from the pan.
- Cheese: Joe can't get over how good the cheese is out here.
- Pepperoni: A smaller diameter than most cup and char, but the flavor is solid.
What would make it better
Joe would like to try it done in a deck oven, with a little more sauce out to the back and a slightly more mellow sauce with a little less sugar.
The verdict
Even from a conveyor oven, Buffalo pizza is still solid. Joe gave John's a 7.9.
