The order
Joe ordered a large cheese pepperoni for $21 flat. It was heavy on the cheese and nicely greasy, though from the top it looked like it might be a little light on the cook.
First bite
Tons and tons of cheese. Joe didn't think he ordered extra cheese, but that was a cheesy bite. Underneath was light browning.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: About medium thickness. The back bite had a nice crunch, and Joe called it a nice crust.
- Sauce: Thinner, not a rich ragu type sauce, with a little sweetness.
- Cheese: Super cheesy. Joe called it another grilled cheese style pizza.
- Pepperoni: Cup and char.
What would make it better
Just a little more cook on the top.
The verdict
Joe said the pizzas out here are good and solid, and it's been a lot of eights. The flavors were good and he gave Joey's an 8.3.
