The order
Joe ordered a large 16-inch cheese pepperoni for $23.75. It came hot out of the conveyor oven. The pepperoni looked like it might be hand cut, and the cheese looked a little light on the outside. The cut needed a little help.
First bite
There was a holy moly cheese pull and medium browning underneath. Joe said the crust almost tasted like a grilled cheese.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: Close to the same thickness from the middle to the outside, just into medium from thin. Almost buttery. Joe wondered if it was just a good amount of cheese turning into buttery goodness. The back crust was nice.
- Sauce: Nice. Joe could taste the tomatoes, and it's not crazy sweet.
- Pepperoni: They tasted hand cut, with a different texture than normal and a nice crisp.
- Ratios: Joe liked them. Saucy, cheesy, with that pepperoni.
The verdict
Joe saw all kinds of lunch specials and said if he went to Depew High, this would be his go-to spot. The Wildcats are lucky to have it. He gave it an 8.4, a good solid pizza.
