Gianni Mazia's on Main is on Main Street in Clarence, just up the road from Rob's Topico Pizza.
The order
Joe ordered a large 17-inch pizza done in a deck oven for $21.37. It came with cup and char pepperoni and a little of what Joe calls the herb magic on top.
First bite
Holy moly, the cheese pull. They're not shy on the cheese, and it's the quality cheese Joe is looking for.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: Soft with a nice chew. No frico here, but a nice all around crust. You can tell it's a good dough.
- Sauce: A little on the sweet side, and it works for Joe.
- Cheese: Fantastic. "No calories either," Joe joked.
- Pepperoni: Cup and char. With this cheese, you can't go wrong.
What would make it better
Maybe more cook, though Joe worried that might take away from the pillowy goodness. Maybe a slightly different sauce.
