Joe ordered a large 18-inch cheese pepperoni for $25.25. This one is not cup and char. It's lay flat pepperoni, with cheese and pep going right to the edge.
First bite
Definitely hot. It's thin and cheesy, and the pepperoni has some really good flavor right from the first couple of bites.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: Thin, with a little flouring underneath. The distribution of sauce and cheese to this thin crust is solid.
- Sauce: Good.
- Cheese: It's a greasy wheel, and Joe likes it.
- Pepperoni: Lay flat, but more charred than some cup and char Joe has had. For a lay flat pepperoni, it's really good.
The verdict
The flavors drive really well for a pizza without cup and char, and Joe called it fantastic. He gave it an 8.6. A couple of locals tried a slice on camera and scored it even higher, and they happily took the rest of the pie home.
