The order
Joe ordered a large 18-inch cheese pepperoni for $22.78. It came with a tavern cut and cup and char pepperoni. It looked like a little more cook would have been good.
First bite
Thin and cheesy, and a mouthful of sauce. The sauce is delicious and Joe could really taste the tomato, which doesn't always happen.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: Thin and cooked nicely on the bottom.
- Sauce: Joe's favorite part. He didn't want to call it a 10, but it's fantastic, and he wanted more of it.
- Cheese: Could have used a little more cook on top.
- Pepperoni: Nice cup and char, like almost everywhere around here.
What would make it better
More cook on top. The bottom was cooked more than the top, and that had Joe puzzled.
The verdict
The only thing pulling it down is the cook on top. It's still an 8.3 all day, and the sauce is the star.
