The order
Joe ordered a large 16-inch cheese pepperoni for $23.65. It came with big, saucy slices and nice distribution of the cup and char, hot out of the oven.
First bite
It had a nice cook underneath and was saucy and cheesy, with a sauce that's not too sweet. A man nearby told Joe it's a 7.6. Joe thought they were off to a better start than that.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: A thin-thick pizza. Not New York thin, a little thicker, with some bubbling and a nice crunch on the back side.
- Sauce: Not too sweet. Joe really liked it.
- Cheese: Joe said this cheese is what he's talking about.
- Pepperoni: Cup and char that curls up and tastes delicious.
The verdict
The distribution of crust, sauce, cheese and pepperoni is solid, and it's no wonder they've been around for 50 years. Joe gave DiPaulo's an 8.9. These guys know what they're doing.
