The order
There's one size here, a 12-inch, for $21.70. It's a little box, but it has some weight. It's a Roman style pie with tiny cup and char, cut into 16 slices. The cut needed a little help.
First bite
Joe started with a corner slice. It had an even brown coating, kind of like a soft pretzel, and it was a little dry.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: A nice thickness, but not Joe's favorite. He figured it probably sops up the alcohol pretty good.
- Sauce: Pretty good, with a mellow flavor, a tiny bit of richness and a touch of herbs. The middle slice had plenty, the corner barely any.
- Cheese: Solid and fantastic.
- Distribution: Off. The middle slice was warmer, cheesier and much better.
What would make it better
More sauce on the outside, and maybe a change up on the crust.
The verdict
If Joe had only eaten that corner slice, the score would have been low. Taking both slices into account, he gave it a 6.8.
