Joe ordered a large, but since it's wood fired, it's one size. It cost $15.22 and looked to be about 12 inches, with cup and char pepperoni.
First bite
It's a nice charred-up bite, and it looks good underneath.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: Joe really liked the char on it.
- Sauce: Good. Joe thought there might be some onion in it.
- Cheese: Good.
- Pepperoni: Solid cup and char.
What would make it better
Joe would like to see how it goes with a slightly more mellow sauce.
The verdict
Joe was pretty sure this was his first wood-fired pizza in the United States. He has high expectations for wood fired from his favorites back home, but this one is still good. He gave Caputi's an 8.6.
