Buffalo Bites Pizza is on Seneca Street in Buffalo.
The order
Joe ordered a large 16-inch cheese pepperoni for $22.83. It came with cup and char, huge slices and plenty of cheese.
First bite
Nice and saucy, nice and cheesy. Joe lost a pepperoni on the first pull, but called it delicious. This is Buffalo pizza.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: Medium thickness, a little on the thin side. The outer crust is perfect, flavorful and not dry.
- Sauce: Joe could taste herbs. He's never described a sauce this way, but it's airy.
- Cheese: Enough to have a heart attack. Fantastic.
- Pepperoni: Cup and char that's nice and charred.
What would make it better
A bit more cook in the inner part of the pie, without touching the outer crust.
The white pizza
Joe went back for a large 16-inch white pizza at $27.18. The caramelized red onions caught his eye. It's oil based with green pepper and tomato, and maybe some garlic. It felt like it had been sitting a bit, but it's a nice lighter alternative with no meat and no red sauce that will still fill you up. Some hot chili flakes or a little spice would make it better.
The verdict
It's a really beautiful pizza at a really good price. Joe gave it an 8.5. Great job, Buffalo Bites.
