Joe ordered a large cheese pepperoni for $26 flat. It's tavern cut, heavier than it looks, and the pepperoni looked hand cut.
First bite
A nice cheese pull and light to medium browning. Joe was happy to be back in Buffalo with this cheese.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: Nice crunch underneath and the back is cooked to perfection, but there's a little gumminess. Joe wasn't sure the dough was fully proofed.
- Sauce: Fantastic along with the cheese.
- Cheese: Top shelf. Seasoned nicely, salty and creamy.
- Pepperoni: Nice, with good flavor.
What would make it better
If the dough were a little more pillowy, Joe said this would easily be in the eights.
The verdict
The flavors are on point and Joe liked the cook. The proofing held it back, so Bada Bing gets a 7.8.
