Anjon's Pizzeria is on South Abbott Road in Orchard Park, just outside of Buffalo.
The order
Joe ordered a large 16-inch cheese pepperoni from the deck oven for $24.99. He liked that they popped holes in the box to let it breathe. It was hot enough to warm his hand. The first cut was good, the second needed a little help.
First bite
Cheesy, with light browning underneath. Joe could taste the sauce and herbs right away, and the cheese was that beautiful Buffalo cheese.
Crust, sauce, cheese and toppings
- Crust: A little undercooked.
- Sauce: Joe likes that he can taste the tomatoes, but it's a little dense and starting to get pasty. It's the strongest flavor on the pizza. Not bad, just strong.
- Cheese: Great. Beautiful Buffalo cheese.
- Pepperoni: Nice.
What would make it better
Bring the sauce down a little and cook it a bit more, and you're rocking and rolling.
